My backyard.

So I pretty much have a love/hate relationship with my backyard. I love it in the spring. Hate it in the summer. When we moved in this house 8 years ago, we inherited an amazing yard full of aspiring flower beds, overgrown bushes and trees, and a plethora of unique niches, each with a personality all their own. Clearly, the previous owners were either landscape architects or retirees with way too much time on their hands. It had sat vacant for one year before we moved in, so the potential beauty was hidden under 3 foot weeds. We’ve been taming the monster ever since. Every spring, I LOVE my backyard. It’s full of green lusciousness and flowers I don’t even know the name too. Then summer hits, and the weeds take over my life. Here are some pictures from the “love” phase. I’m off to buy some more garden gloves!

Kaela – Senior Class of 2013 – Nampa Senior Pictures

I still can’t get over the fact that friends I grew up with have kids that are old enough to graduate!  It is such a bittersweet moment when you see they have gone from a funny little kid to a beautiful young lady just on the brink of her future.  Ok, so now I’m crying at my computer thinking about my own babies growing up and leaving me!  Kaela, I’m so glad we finally got the sun to cooperate with our rustic, cowgirl plans!  You are a beautiful girl, inside and out, and I’m so excited to see where God leads you over the next few years.

Lindsey – Senior Class of 2013 – Meridian Senior Pictures

Oh I cannot tell you how excited I am to show these pictures!  When Lindsey first told me she wanted a vintage vibe for her senior pictures, I think I squealed.  And after planning it all out together, I could not be happier with how they turned out.  Thank you Lindsey for being up for anything!  You are such a sweetie with so much potential.  I know you said you have been looking forward to senior pictures since 9th grade, so I hope these are something of what you imagined.  Congratulations on your upcoming graduation (precisely 22 days away) and your bright future!

The E family slightly windblown – Meridian family photography

I’ve just recently noticed that most of my posts mention weather in them.  I suppose that’s because my pictures kind of depend on it!  I mean, can the wind just please stop?  Seriously!  Regardless, I had lots of fun with these BSU fans down by the river.  Just know that I have some pretty funny outtakes with long hair flying all over the place!  Ginger, please tell Dave that I think his shirt suits him perfectly:)  Enjoy!meridian-family-pictures-nature-2meridian-family-pictures-nature-3meridian-family-pictures-nature-4meridian-family-pictures-nature-5meridian-family-pictures-nature-1meridian-family-pictures-nature-6meridian-family-pictures-boise-state-3meridian-family-pictures-boise-state-4meridian-family-pictures-boise-state-2meridian-family-pictures-boise-state-1meridian-family-pictures-boise-state-5
