Well. Officially, this is my last session. Of course, you KNOW I will still take pictures of my own kids, so I’m not shutting this blog down completely. I have to say I could not have ended on a better note. Kristy and I have been planning this shoot for ages, ever since she won a gift certificate at a school auction. I think it all worked out for the best, because we ended up with a perfect evening. Perfect. I love this family and I’m so glad we had this chance. Thank you for making it so easy and fun. And thank you for climbing that hill for a look at the sunset. It was so worth it! Enjoy!

I was so happy to spend a spectacular fall morning with some old friends. I will always remember Heather’s laugh from high school days! It was rather contagious. Heather and Scott, it was a pleasure hanging out with your amazing boys. You are obviously doing something right and I may come pick your brain when my own kids hit the teenage years! I have to admit to a few tears while editing your photos, knowing they don’t seem quite complete. I hope these pictures show a glimpse of the love, faith, and strength that I saw. Enjoy!

Oh, she is the sweetest little one year old ever. Sitting there with her two fingers in her mouth. I must admit I melted a little when I had the chance to hold her for a bit. And autumn arrives. Cool days, wind blown hair, sweaters, boots. Nice boots you know, not moon boots. If only we could get some reds and oranges from the trees, I would be a truly happy photographer. I had such a nice morning with the Pattons and all their family. What a great bunch! I love it when I have such a mix of ages, and the adults all get to watch me do cartwheels and silly voices for the kids.
